Mary Liz! That's almost as bad as the foot picture!! But....I'm glad to see he's getting some sleep. Poor guy. He sounded awful on the phone. Sending lots of hugs and kisses to the patient!
It will only get better from here. I had shoulder surgery in April - not as invasive as Ron's - surgery at 12:30, home by 3:30. (I didn't think I was ready to go home - the hospital did so home I went!) They numbed my entire arm up so they didn't have to put me under as much - for 24 hours it was like dragging around a 30 pound dead fish. My arm would fall out of the sling but I couldn't feel it - I would look own and there was my hand just hanging from the end of my arm below my shirt.... Percocet was "helpful" for a good week - and beware because when I thought I was finally feeling better I wasn't! Look at the bright side - this should be the perfect excuse to not shovel any snow for the rest of the season! Merry Christmas!
